Whether you are visiting or considering membership at Trinity Presbyterian Church, we are happy to have you with us! Below are some frequently asked questions about what you can expect during our worship services and other ways you can get involved.
Frequently Asked Questions
When and where is the weekly worship service?
Our weekly worship service takes place on Sundays at 11 a.m. in the church's sanctuary. As you face the church from N. New Hope Road, the sanctuary is the building on the left.

What is the style of the worship service?
Trinity Is a Presbyterian Church (USA) church and follows a traditional Presbyterian worship order with singing, prayers, scripture readings, a sermon, a children's message, and an offering.
What is the musical style during worship?
We sing traditional hymns throughout the Sunday service. Some musical offerings involve the congregation, and we have a choir that shares anthems and other special seasonal works.
How should I dress for church service?
There is no expected dress code for services and events at Trinity. Come as you are and worship with us.
Are services available online?
We would love to have you join us in person, but if that's not possible, we offer a live stream on Trinity's YouTube channel.
Is there a children's message during the service?
Yes! Each Sunday, there is a special children’s message that takes place before the main sermon. Children are invited to come toward the front to sit for the message, or are welcome to stay with their families. In addition, there are coloring books and other items to engage children during the service. These items are in a wicker basket as you enter the sanctuary.
I have a child/teenager who wants to get involved. What programs are available?
Trinity offers Sunday evening programs for middle and high school youth during the school year. This evening program includes dinner, a fun lesson, and engaging activities. Our youth also volunteer in mission projects and participate in church life through events such as Youth Sunday, the Easter egg hunt, senior celebration in worship, Fall Festival, Trunk or Treat, and more. There are also annual retreat experiences at places like Camp Don Lee, Massanetta Springs Youth Conference, and Montreat's Youth Conference. Sprinkled in are fun outings to ski, bowl, or simply hang out. If you would like to discuss confirmation classes for your youth, please email us here.
What programs are available for adults?
We have a Sunday morning Bible study at 9:30 a.m., an off-site book club that meets in members' homes, and a monthly men's breakfast in the fellowship hall. ACTS 2 is another group that has morning outings each month followed by lunch at a local restaurant. In addition, our Chancel Choir welcomes new members; they meet at the church on Wednesday evenings.
How does Trinity give back to the community?
Trinity’s congregation regularly volunteers with organizations like Habitat for Humanity and donates to causes like Operation Christmas Child, the Raleigh Homeless Shelter, Raleigh Women’s Shelter, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Raleigh Dream Center. The church also operates a food pantry that is open on Monday mornings. Additionally, it hosts Friday Night Friends, a fun program designed specifically for those with special needs. The events, held twice a month at the church, are free and typically involve a meal, a crafting activity, game, or movie screening.

I'm worried my family and I won't fit in at a traditional church. What are Trinity's values and how do I know that we would be accepted by the congregation?
Trinity is a traditional church with modern views and values. We welcome diversity in our congregation, and want to share God’s love with everyone. We are a proud member church of More Light Presbyterians, a coalition of congregations and individuals in the Presbyterian Church (USA) committed to increasing the involvement of all people in the church, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. Everyone is invited to worship with us, and we accept everyone for who they are!
