Rev. David Huffman, Senior Pastor
David has served at Trinity since August of 1981. One of his greatest joys is seeing the children he baptized grow up, and bring children of their own to Trinity to be baptized! David preaches, sings in the Chancel Choir, leads Bible Studies, and is instrumental in the caregiving ministry of TPC.
A native of Burlington, North Carolina, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, David went to seminary at Princeton Theological Seminary. In 1986 he received a Merrill Fellowship from Harvard Divinity School, where he enjoyed his postgraduate work and living in Boston.
When not at Trinity, David can be found combining two of his favorite hobbies - history and photography. Lately he's traveled the backroads of NC, taking pictures of the historical churches he discovers. In addition, David loves music, working with his hands, and trips to the mountains and beach. David and his wife, Elaine, have two daughters, Katie and Anna.
Nancy Elder, Music Director
Bright, active and lively, Nancy brings passion to all she undertakes. She's been Trinity's Director of Music since 2008. Before then, she directed our children's and youth choirs. Sometimes it's an easier question to ask what she doesn't do musically!! Nancy directs, sings, plays piano, and lends her creative energy and time to the musical ensembles at TPC, such as our children's Joyful Noise Choir.
In her free time, Nancy loves gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Eileen Pinto, Preschool Director
We welcome Eileen Pinto as the Director of Trinity's preschool! She has the perfect mix of administrative skills and love of children and their education to lead the preschool.
Eileen and her husband Anthony moved to North Carolina seven years ago. Together they have 5 children, all boys! The family has been members of Trinity ever since they moved to Raleigh. Eileen attended Meredith College to pursue her degree in Business Administration and Human Resources.
Virginia Raby, Office Manager
Virginia works part-time and enjoys all the delightful people she gets to meet each day. In addition to creating the weekly bulletin, Virginia works with the bookkeeper and the Stewardship Ministry Team to keep up with the financial recording and reporting side of her position.
Born in New Jersey and raised in Georgia, Virginia has called Raleigh her home for many years. She's a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and has worked at area churches for over 25 years.
Virginia and her husband, Andy, have 3 children - Daniel, Ellen, and Ian. When not typing, she enjoys reading, taking walks, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and not thinking about cooking supper.
John Montague, Bookkeeper
Although not in the church office, John is hard at work for Trinity each month as our part-time bookkeeper. His responsibilites include payroll, producing reports for staff and Session, and working with the Pastoral Staff, Stewardship Ministry Team and the Office Manager on all things financial for the church.
John is a native of eastern North Carolina, born in Windsor. He went to school in Raleigh at North Carolina State University. His accounting background includes work in both for-profit businesses and non-profits, and most recently he has concentrated on working with churches.
In John's free time, he enjoys traveling - especially to Colonial and pre-Colonial sites of interest. He is also active in his own church, where he volunteers in a number of areas.
